How to recycle on campus

 

PSU has commingled recycling for paper products, plastic bottles, and metal cans, and glass goes in a separate bin.

What is RECYCLABLE?
All printer / copy paper

Envelopes with windows

Magazines / newspaper

Spiral notebooks

Manila folders

Books

Cardboard

Shredded paper - must be bagged!

Plastic bottles with necks

Yogurt tubs - must be clean!

Aluminum, tin, and steel cans

 

What is NOT RECYCABLE?
Disposable coffee cups / beverage cups

Paper towels, napkins, & tissues

To-go containers & pizza boxes

Candy wrappers

Broken glass

Photographs & carbon paper

 

Other Materials
PSU also recycles other materials, but they are handled separately and not collected in the community bins. To recycle the following items, submit a work order online at: www.fap.pdx.edu/workorder

Batteries

Computers & monitors

Misc. electronic equipment

Fluorescent light tubes

Toner cartridges

Block foam & packing peanuts (bagged!)

Landscape waste

Wooden pallets

Laboratory glass
